In the Art Depot, SCHUNCK shows a selection of works by Keetje Mans (1979) from its own collection. Mans is an artist SCHUNCK has been following for many years.
In 2022, SCHUNCK acquired an ensemble of twelve drawings by her, four of which are now on display. Previously, the textile work Tantrum (2017) and the paintings Desert Sessions and Two Lone Swordsmen (2009) were acquired.
Recently, the painting Span (2011) was also donated to the collection by dsm-firmenich. Keetje Mans's paintings, drawings, textile works and objects evoke a world where the everyday blends with the fantastic.
Her work balances on the border of dream, fear, fantasy and memory. The presentation at Kunstdepot 2 ties in with her exhibition Ride the Range (and Never Worry) in Your Humble Abode, on show from 20 May in the Atrium of the Glass Palace.
