On Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 July, old times revive on and around Montfort Castle, with the event Middeleeuws Montfort. 

During this largest medieval festival in the south of the Netherlands, you will go back in time to enjoy hundreds of medieval people in period costume, music performances, craft demonstrations, swordsmen, archers and real knightly tournaments on horseback. 

And of course, a thrilling battle with roaring cannons is not missing either. Medieval Montfort will be bigger than ever: the organisers are expanding the site to include the castle garden on the other side of the Huysdijk, almost double the size of previous editions.
