Funky rhythm guitars, Hammond, Fender Rhodes and synths, a rhythm section that has been performing together for decades, playing solid grooves and tight, powerful arrangements that have since become their trademark. 

All this underlines singer Irma Derby's stunningly beautiful and soulful vocals. It takes you back to that great warm sound of the 70s with a fresh breeze of influences from the present. 

Although Tristan's music sounds like bands like Rufus & Chaka Khan, Snarky Puppy or classic Acid Jazz acts like Incognito and the Brand New Heavies (all producing energetic grooves), what sets this group apart from their contemporaries is the high quality of the compositions and arrangements. 

The band was at North Sea Jazz just last year and has performed at various and venues and jazz clubs in Europe in recent years. Their new tour starts in April, with the band visiting Poland, Germany and England.
