Join an unforgettable journey of discovery through the caves... by bike!

Leave the everyday hustle and bustle above ground behind and descend into an ancient underground landscape that continues to grow a little larger every year. The name of this mysterious place? The Sibbergroeve, 40 metres below the charming village of Sibbe, just outside Valkenburg.

Guided only by the lights on the cave bikes, you’ll set off on an adventurous journey through the dark passageways. Travel back in time and experience the warm glow, cool darkness and hidden stories of this extraordinary setting. Along the way, you’ll discover an authentic Christmas atmosphere.

During the Christmas season, Grotbiken comes with a few special extras at no additional cost. What exactly are they? You’ll discover that during the tour! Here’s a little hint: expect something tasty, an exclusive space and, above all, plenty of warm Christmas cheer.

Practical information

The tour starts underground. To reach the quarry, you must be able to descend a staircase of 163 steps.

Minimum height: 140 cm.

Not weather-dependent: the temperature inside the quarry is always 12 °C.

Free private parking next to the location.

Toilets are available on site.
