Bronnetjes op het pad

The area around Epen en Vijlen is also called 'spring land' and with some detective work, hikers can see it up close. On the path that leads up past Camping Cottesserhoeve towards the Vijlenerbos, hikers can discover small springs. The rock-hard and impermeable layers of stone from prehistoric times that lie in the ground here ensure that the rainwater in these places rises again. Because the water carries all kinds of colored minerals from the rocks, hikers can better discover the sources.
