Groenendaalse molen

The Groenendaalsmolen is located in the hamlet of Billinghuizen, between Euverem and Beutenaken. This was an overshot mill and got its water from the Gulp via a reservoir. The house and a roastery were located next to this grain mill. The mill fell into such disrepair in 1871 that everything was demolished and rebuilt with the same materials: brick and marl.

In addition, a barn, stables and bakehouse were built for agricultural activities. In 1891 the mill was again rebuilt and enlarged. The mill burned down in 1951. Despite repairs, the fire left its mark. In this way, irreparable cracks in the running gear prevented the grinder from being overloaded. In the 1970s, the mill was converted into a residence.
