Kerk Sweikhuizen

The Sint-Dionysius and Odiliakerk in the Dutch Limburg village of Sweikhuizen is a Roman Catholic church in the Dutch South Limburg municipality of Schinnen and was built in 1793. The church is located on the Kerkstraat and on the main road through the village from Puth to Geleen.

The building is a cruciform church and consists of a single-aisled nave, a transept, a three-sided closed choir and a ridge turret with a constricted spire on the nave. The nave has a plastered rib vault. The building is built of brick with marl stones on the corners. The church building is a national monument and is dedicated to Saint Dionysius and Odilia. The current choir and transept were built in 1953-1954 to the design of architect Joseph Franssen. A sacristy was also built on the north side.
