Stadspark Sittard

The Sittard City Park, which was laid out in 1920 by landscape architect Versteeg, on the swampy banks of the Geleenbeek, is a beautiful strip of nature in Sittard. It forms the connection between Geleen and Sittard, also known as the Geleenbeekdal. It is worth walking further into the park to the 'Stenen Sluis' and the branch of a mill branch. This branch runs through the center of Sittard, but is overpassed there.

He fed, among other things, the water mill that used to be on the site of the current shopping center De Tempel in the center of Sittard. A special tip in the city park is the Stadspeelbos Sjabolleke. This city play forest is located on the Molenweg, right next to the monumental city park of Sittard.
