Voetvallen op de Kollenberg Sittard

A total of seven footfalls can be found on the north hill of the Kollenberg. The Sint Rosakapel is located on top of the Kollenberg in Sittard. A small building with a great and rich history. The chapel was built in 1675 in honor of Saint Rose, the patron saint of Sittard. Four foot traps date from 1907, three from 1925. They were placed to replace the foot traps dating from 1800.

The three footfalls from 1925 were realized in the context of the 250th anniversary of the St.Rosa Chapel. The seven footfalls are built in the form of chapels. Stepped concrete bases, on which a construction of red brick, laid in a cross bond. Some foot traps have a hard stone plinth. Green and red glazed profile moldings on the facade corners and in the niche mouldings.
