75 Jaar Nederlands Studenten Orkest Concert in Bunde

The Nederlands Studenten Orkest is celebrating its 75th anniversary and will perform at the Agnespoort in Bunde on Thursday, 18 February 2027, at 8:00 pm.

During this special anniversary concert, you can enjoy Shostakovich's moving Fifth Symphony, conducted by the internationally renowned conductor Sander Teepen. The talented Shane van Neerden will also shine as the soloist in Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 1. In addition, the festive composition Stronk by Jan-Peter de Graaff will receive its world premiere.

Imagine putting your studies on hold for an entire month to devote yourself completely to classical music. That is the conscious choice made by the 90 students of the Nederlands Studenten Orkest (NSO). For 75 years, the NSO has offered ambitious students the opportunity to perform classical music at a high level alongside their studies.

Following auditions, a rehearsal weekend and an intensive rehearsal period, the orchestra comes together as one cohesive ensemble in a remarkably short time. Every year, the NSO spends a month performing concerts throughout the Netherlands and abroad. This 75th edition revolves around the theme ‘Trotseert’.
