A Sunday in August when culture, music, dance, and performances come together: the Augst Cultuurparade makes its way through the streets of Berg aan de Maas from 2:00 PM, and admission is free. As every year, the parade has its own theme. This year, it is 'Magisch Augst'. The title says it all: throughout the parade, a variety of scenes will bring fantasy, imagination, and dreams to life.
The floats are built by dedicated float builders, who showcase their creativity to the fullest. The Augst Cultuurfestival relies on the efforts of many volunteers, who make it possible for this event to be organized for the 77 time.
Thanks to its rich tradition and its unique parade, the Augst Cultuurfestival has earned a place on the National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The parade is part of an entire weekend of festivities: the Augst Cultuurfestival. The weekend offers a wide variety of activities for all ages. There is an afternoon dedicated to senior citizens and people with disabilities, as well as an afternoon especially for children.
