Lots to see
Nulland mine shaft is one of the few tangible reminders of South Limburg's mining past. The shaft was part of the Domaniale Mijn, the oldest coal mine in the Netherlands. The monument houses a wealth of attractions from the mining era. You can admire the original elevator, a mine bicycle, locomotives, coal cars, numerous machines, objects and photographs from the mining era. You are welcome to tour the entire monument. And of course the former miners tell their stories about the work underground with great passion!
Opening hours
On the following Saturdays, Nulland mine shaft is open from 12:00 to 17:00: July 12, July 26, August 9, August 23 and September 6. Adult admission: €8.50 p.p. Children up to 12 years free! Check the website for more information.
