The Valkenburgse Bokkenweken are bock!
On Sunday 4 October, the Valkenburgse Bokkenweken traditionally kick off with the festive Bokkenparade and the arrival of the first barrel of bock beer.
At around 2.00 pm, a horse-drawn cart makes its way through the town centre carrying the first bock beer of the season, supplied by Brand Bier, Broewersjap d'n Haokeman and Stadsbrouwerij Maastricht. The parade starts in the Poststraat, where all participants gather.
The parade is accompanied by an impressive line-up of shooting guilds and musical groups:

From the Poststraat, the parade follows a route via Dr. Erensstraat, Sint Pieterstraat, Walramplein, Hovetstraat, Berkelstraat, Grotestraat, Bogaardlaan and Gosewijnstraat to Theodoor Dorrenplein, where the festivities continue.
Enjoy live music, a freshly poured pint and a bock beer tasting, where several breweries present their seasonal bock beers.
Armed with a tasting glass, you can stroll past around ten stalls in search of your favourite bock beer while enjoying the warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes the Valkenburgse Bokkenweken so special. It is a tradition that marks the start of autumn every year and the perfect beginning of the bock beer season.
