The Royal Harmonie St. Caecilia will give a special concert on Sunday, March 22 at 2:30 PM in the Elisabethkapel. The orchestra from Spekholzerheide has existed for 164 years and has long held a firm place in the cultural life of the region.

Since November, the orchestra has been under the direction of its new conductor Borja Romero Gonzelas. He comes from Tenerife, Spain, and has been active in the region for several years as conductor of several associations.

Spanish music will be the central theme of this concert, with special attention to the expressive music of religious processions. This musical style is closely connected to religious traditions and is known for its impressive melodies and solemn atmosphere.

For this project, the conductor also wrote his own composition, which will be performed during the concert. In the run-up to Easter, this programme offers a fitting musical afternoon in the atmospheric chapel of Parc Imstenrade.
