On Saturday 27 September, a very special concert evening will take place at MFC de Grous in Stein. Mandolin Orchestra The Strings, conducted by Annemie Hermans, will perform the work “Die Zaubermandoline” by German composers Aris Blettenberg and Dominik Hackner.
It is a magical musical spectacle set in the world of mining. Step into an enchanting underground world, where music, story and images come together in a unique cultural experience.
Let yourself be carried away by De Tovermandoline, a musical fairy tale for young and old with narrator Jeu Knubben, animation painted by artist Moniek Op den Camp and mysterious mining atmospheres.
The foyer and auditorium will be transformed into a mining museum in collaboration with Privémuseum D'r Bickel from Stein. De Domijnen Library will organise an exhibition of books related to the mines in Limburg.
After the interval, the brass section of the Royal Fanfare St. Caecilia Puth, conducted by Fried Dobbelstein, will burst onto the stage with their high-level music-making.
