Vincent Kusters and Ed Spanjaard perform works by, among others, Schubert, Loewe, Brahms, Wolf, Mahler, Busoni, Debussy, and Butterworth. These songs portray human emotions and desires, once captured in poetry and then brought to life through music.
In the tradition of the troubadours, they let these stories resonate once again—crossing borders and connecting people across time. A special detail: this concert takes place at Opus 9 (the Theresiakerk), the rehearsal space of Philzuid, of which Ed Spanjaard is honorary conductor.
