This summer, South Limburg is once again bursting with lively fairs, festival tents, music nights, and local traditions. Under the banner "This is your summer", various events across the Heuvelland region come together: from charming village fairs and live music to convivial beer festivals and spectacular tractor pulling competitions. A summer full of encounters, music, fun, and Limburg hospitality.
Kermis Reijmerstok
Saturday 11 July – Monday 13 July
In Reijmerstok, the celebrations come alive during three festive evenings of Kermis Reijmerstok. The festival tent provides the setting for an enjoyable programme featuring artists, music, and a true fairground atmosphere. A summer village celebration where coming together, enjoying the moment, and creating memories take centre stage.
Kermis Slenaken
Saturday 25 July – Monday 27 July
Kermis Slenaken is an annual event where a small village shows just how big it can be. Residents, people from across the Heuvelland region, and visitors from outside the area come together for a vibrant weekend for all ages. With a varied programme, the summer fair promises to be another atmospheric edition in 2026.
De Tent Sjteit – Arensgenhout
Friday 31 July – Monday 3 August
The summer festival De Tent Sjteit in Arensgenhout has been a household name in South Limburg for more than 60 years. What once started as a small village celebration has grown into a beloved festival with a unique and welcoming atmosphere.
You can enjoy great music, pleasant company, and well-known artists performing on stage. De Tent Sjteit is not only a celebration but also a cherished tradition that brings generations together.
Kermis Terlinden
Saturday 8 August – Monday 10 August
During Kermis Terlinden, the village revolves around music, community, and tradition for three days. The festivities begin on Saturday with the Jonkheidstreffen, followed by Rockin’ Saturday.
On Sunday afternoon, you can enjoy the Frühshoppen, featuring specialty beers and cocktails, among other delights. Later in the day, the celebrations continue during Night of Bass. On Monday, the fair traditionally concludes with the Limburgse Aovend.
Gulpener Bierfeesten
Friday 21 August – Sunday 23 August
For three days, the Gulpener Bierfeesten take place in the heart of Gulpen. You can look forward to live music, a convivial atmosphere, and of course a good glass of beer. With recurring programme highlights such as the seniors’ afternoon, the open-air brunch, and the Limburg afternoon, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Power Weekend Gulpen
Friday 28 August – Sunday 30 August
The summer comes to a festive close on the Gulperberg during Power Weekend Gulpen. Friday and Saturday are all about music, atmosphere, and good times.
On Sunday, horsepower takes centre stage during the spectacular tractor pulling competition. Once again, something new has been added to the programme this year, making Power Weekend Gulpen another exciting and surprising finale to the summer.
