This award-winning film from the Cannes Film Festival will be preceded by an introduction from film journalist Kevin Toma.

Kevin Toma, born and raised in Sittard, is a film scholar and has been a film critic for de Volkskrant since 2007. In his articles, he focuses on both classical and contemporary world cinema. In addition to his journalistic work, he is active as a speaker and lecturer.

Resurrection is a dazzling ode to cinema, a dreamlike epic and an overwhelming film experience all in one. In a future where humanity has sacrificed dreams for eternal life, Miss Shu is among the few chosen ones still able to dream.

As she explores the dream world of a mysterious man, a sensory journey unfolds through six stories spanning one hundred years of Chinese (film) history.
