After 35 years, the Franssen Franken Ronde Heerlen has become a household name in both the cycling world and the city of Heerlen. This UCI criterium is always held on the first Friday after the Tour de France, which this year falls on 31 July.
Admission is free and, after the cycling programme, which runs from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the festivities continue on the squares around the Pancratiuskerk.
Programme:
6:00 PM: start of the Rabo Dikke Banden Race (RDBR)
7:00 PM: start of the former professional cyclists race behind derny motorcycles
8:00 PM: advertising caravan / presentation of elite riders
8:30 PM: start of the elite riders race
10:00 PM: finish of the elite riders race and prize ceremony
