Commemoration “Peace and Freedom”

On Sunday 3 May at 11:00 a.m., the Peace and Freedom Commemoration will take place at the H. Hartkerk Overhoven in Sittard.

This service will be accompanied by the children’s choir, and children and young people will take part in the commemoration. The remembrance is dedicated in particular to all victims of the Second World War. Attention will also be given to the current situation in the world.

Following the memorial service, and while the heavy church bell is ringing, a floral tribute will be laid at the village cross and at the grave of the British soldier John Alexander Devine, which has been adopted by the children’s choir, at the Algemene Begraafplaats Sittard.

You are warmly invited to be present for this moment as well.
