On Sunday, June 21, step into another era between 14:00 and 15:00.
During this workshop by Swing Out Maastricht, you’ll get introduced to Lindy Hop: an energetic swing dance from the 1920s and 1930s, born in Harlem. It’s danced to swing and jazz music and is known for its joyful rhythm, playful movements, and partner dancing.
And honestly, at a weekend fully dedicated to the vibe of the past, a dance like this simply can’t be missing. This is exactly the music, the rhythm, and the movement that takes you back to the dance floors of those days.
Come with your partner or find one on the spot. Beginners and experienced dancers all join in together. In one relaxed hour, you’ll learn the first steps, spin across the floor, and get a taste of a real swing dance night. It’s a lot of fun.
No registration needed. Head to the main stage, join the dance, or just enjoy watching.
Fair warning: your feet and hips will start moving on their own 😊
