Kennedy-Mars Sittard: the ultimate challenge for walkers! On Easter Saturday, thousands of walkers will take on the sporting challenge of the Kennedy-Mars Sittard: an 80-kilometre walk through the beautiful countryside of Dutch and Belgian Limburg.
Starting and finishing at the Market Square in Sittard, the event also offers alternatives such as the Swentibold-Mars (40 kilometres) and the Mini-Mars (10 kilometres). Since 1963, this walk has been known for its physical challenge, unique atmosphere and bringing together walkers of all levels.
A must for every sporty walker! The route of the Kennedy-Mars Sittard takes you through both Dutch and Belgian Limburg. Past charming church villages such as picturesque Thorn and the Belgian border town of Maaseik. The start and finish are at the atmospheric Market Square in Sittard.
With challenging sections such as the bridge at Wessem, the cobblestones in Thorn and the headwind along the Meuse in Belgium. Fortunately, the pleasant places you pass through provide the necessary relief and atmosphere.
