During Kerststad Valkenburg, the enchanting Landal Christmas Parade winds its way through the charming streets of the town. The historic centre provides a magical backdrop for a procession of lights featuring spectacular floats, twinkling lights and dancers in beautiful costumes – a festive experience for all ages!
Festive parade
From Saturday 14 November, the festive parade will once again light up the magical streets of Valkenburg. Every Saturday, you can enjoy beautifully illuminated floats, dancers and plenty of Christmas cheer.
From Wednesday 9 December, things get even more festive: the enchanting parade will make its way through Valkenburg twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There will be no parade on Saturday 5 December (Sinterklaas Eve) or Saturday 26 December (Boxing Day). The final parade of the season will take place on Wednesday 30 December.
With a Christmas song specially composed for Kerststad playing along the route, it’s almost impossible to stand still as you watch. The lights, dancers, floats and infectious music make the Landal Christmas Parade one of the biggest attractions of Kerststad Valkenburg year after year.

Please note: there will be no Parade on Saturday 5 or 26 December!
Route
Dr. Erensstraat, Th. Dorrenplein, Gosewijnstraat, Walramplein, Hovetstraat, Berkelstraat, Grotestraat Centrum. The parade takes approximately 25 minutes to pass by.
Please note!
Berkelstraat and Grote Straat will be closed before the Parade and will only be accessible to visitors who have made an advance reservation at one of the outdoor terraces. If you have a reservation here, make sure you arrive on time.
Visitor information
There are designated viewing areas for visitors to the Landal Christmas Parade at Walramplein, Th. Dorrenplein, Dr. Erensstraat and near Berkelpoort.
Visit the Parade by bike
Free supervised bicycle parking. Do you live nearby? Come by bike! You’ll avoid traffic jams and won’t have to search for a parking space. Free supervised bicycle parking is available on Kerkstraat, near Halderstraat.
Tip!
If it’s very busy, head to Walramplein. There’s always plenty of space here.
Come on a weekday!
Visit Kerststad Valkenburg during the week. Kerststad Valkenburg can get very busy at weekends. If you visit on a weekday, you’ll have more space and can enjoy better service.
