The Vrije Akademie is hosting an open day at its locations in Kerkrade and Landgraaf. You can meet teachers and participants and discover a varied programme of more than 60 courses for children, young people and adults.
New this season is the VAP College, featuring inspiring masterclasses and workshops, including ceramic techniques, cyanotype and Kinusaiga. There are also new courses in printmaking, fashion, jewellery design, felting and sculpting.
For adults, the Vrije Akademie offers a wide range of ceramics, drawing and painting courses. Young people can join the Preparatory Course for Art Academy and build a portfolio that, following a positive assessment, will prepare them well for admission to an art academy.
Children can choose from drawing, painting, working with clay and textiles. During the open day, they can also take part in free workshops. Through the Samen Creatief project, creativity, connection and social interaction are encouraged. For more information and to register, visit the website.
