‘Het Vuurpad’ is located opposite the Koeberggroeve and Julianagroeve in Cadier en Keer, and this year Het Vuurpad celebrates its 5th anniversary!
Over the past few years, this once overgrown piece of land has been transformed into a more biodiverse area, including a toad pond and a wildflower meadow, as well as the planting of native trees and shrubs, fruit trees, and a vineyard, creating a place where plants, animals, and people all feel at home.
This food forest–vegetable garden–vineyard will continue to evolve. Tastings are organised regularly, where you can enjoy snacks and drinks while learning about everything that grows and blooms at Het Vuurpad — and of course, you will get to taste it too!
Parking is available at the intersection of Keunestraat and Koebergweg. Open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Part of a cycling route with six other open eco gardens. More information and current opening hours can be found on the website.
