The annual Orgelfestival Limburg is a guest in Vaals: listen to the beautiful sounds of the monumental Teschemacher organ (1772) in the Hervormde Kerk.
With its powerful tone and warm colours, it lends itself to a colourful palette of music from different centuries. Organist is Frederik Kranemann.
Among other things, he plays music by J.S. Bach's sons - gallant organ music from the eighteenth century, the time of the instrument's construction.
Afterwards, the organ can be viewed inside and out. There will also be an opportunity to meet the organist over a drink in the church garden.
Frederik studied organ in Freiburg and Basel (CH). He is currently preparing for his Konzertexamen organ in Hamburg with Wolfgang Zerer and Pieter van Dijk.
As a soloist, his repertoire covers diverse centuries. He collaborates with various ensembles, including the Aachener Bachverein.
Since 2018, he has been teaching music theory at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg and the Johannes-Gutenberg-Universität Mainz. Entrance: free gift.
