The South's leading symphony orchestra throws out all the stops at its traditional New Year's concert and welcomes 2026 with hearty dance moves.

Be surprised by musical worlds ranging from ABBA's pop classics (Dancing Queen!) to Dvořák's Slavic Dances. No New Year's concert without a special guest.

Philzuid gives way to their solo clarinettist Jules Baeten. He throws himself wholeheartedly into Copland's Clarinet Concerto, which he wrote for the famous jazz clarinettist Benny Goodman.

The experienced American conductor John Axelrod -former pupil of Leonard Bernstein- gets all feet off the floor. A wide-eyed leader who has won his spurs all over the world.
