On 17 and 18 October, Kasteel Hoensbroek, the Allermooiste Kasteel van Nederland, will once again provide the magnificent setting for a spectacular knights’ festival. A historic spectacle filled with honour, courage and battle.

This year, the event focuses on the events leading up to the famous Slag bij Baesweiler in 1371, a conflict between the Hertog van Brabant and the hertogen van Gelre – Gulik.

Knights gallop across the tournament grounds on their magnificently adorned horses. Lances gleam in the sunlight, the tension is palpable and the audience holds its breath…

During this sensational clash of arms at Kasteel Hoensbroek, not only honour and glory are at stake, but also the future of a noble family.

Three knights on horseback, thrilling battles and a compelling story of pride, rivalry and victory bring the past spectacularly back to life.
