On Saturday 27 September, Opus 16 Concerts will kick off the new season with a high-quality chamber music evening at Kapel Opveld in Maastricht. 

Horn player Camiel Lemmens, originally from Limburg, will perform alongside violinist Dimitri Astashka and pianist Michelle Lynne. 

The programme centres on Johannes Brahms' Horn Trio in E-flat major, Op. 40 – a rare work in which the warm sound of the horn, the lyricism of the violin and the power of the piano come together. 

The programme also includes Robert Kahn's atmospheric Serenade, Op. 73 and Charles Koechlin's characterful Quatre petites pièces, Op. 32. Students from the Maastricht Conservatory will perform in the supporting programme.
