The Terwinseler Straatmarkt celebrates its anniversary with John Tana! On Sunday, May 10, the fiftieth edition of the Terwinseler Straatmarkt will take place.
The anniversary committee is working on a special jubilee edition. Between 10:00 and 17:00, the streets of d’r Sjtaat will once again be filled with lively trade, demonstrations, information, entertainment, and sports and games. The “neighbors” are also taking part, including the Botanische Tuin, ’t Sjtaaterhoes, Basisschool De Doorkijk, and Wijkzorgcentrum Firenschat.
In addition to the many stalls and stands, extra activities will be organized at various locations due to the anniversary, such as food, play, and traditional crafts zones.
At Piusplein, Die Altböhmischen will kick things off at 11:00 with the jubilee Frühschoppen. In the afternoon, Feestband TONCA will perform cover songs and party hits. The headliner of the anniversary program is John Tana.
The Terwinseler Straatmarkt has been a tradition for many years on the Sunday before Ascension Day and takes place in the streets around the Botanische Tuin.
