On Saturday 12 September, Centre Céramique welcomes award-winning cartoonists Tjeerd Royaards and Emanuele Del Rosso to Maastricht.

During the programme ‘The Power of the Cartoon – an afternoon of sharp lines and sharp insights’, they will take you on a guided tour of the European Cartoon Award 2025 exhibition and share insights into their profession.

The afternoon takes you behind the scenes of the current cartoon exhibition, which brings together some of today’s most thought-provoking and topical cartoons. Questions explored include: how does a cartoonist come up with an idea? Which topics lend themselves to cartoons? And when does a cartoon go too far – or is there actually no such thing?

Both Dutch-speaking and English-speaking visitors are welcome; the programme is bilingual.
