The name Kwizzenjèr refers to the traditional cooking stove of Gronsveld, which was once the warm heart of many homes. That same warmth and welcoming atmosphere can still be felt throughout the restaurant today.
At De Kwizzenjèr, you can enjoy a leisurely lunch, a cosy dinner, a cup of coffee or drinks with friends. The varied menu offers a wide selection of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. Make yourself comfortable in the inviting restaurant or, when the weather is nice, relax on the terrace.

De Kwizzenjèr is located near the Savelsbos woodland, in an area offering plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling through the rolling hills of South Limburg.
One particularly recommended route is the Wijngaarden wandeling Savelsbos, part of the Routes des Vins by Visit Zuid-Limburg. This approximately eleven-kilometre wine walk takes you through Gronsveld, Eckelrade and Sint Geertruid, passing several vineyards and showcasing the varied Limburg countryside.
Other walking routes through and around Savelsbos also make De Kwizzenjèr an ideal place to stop for coffee, lunch, a drink or dinner before, during or after a walk or bike ride. Dogs on leads are welcome both inside the restaurant and on the terrace.
Discover the History of Gronsveld
Besides its beautiful nature and vineyards, Gronsveld also has a fascinating history. A short distance from the restaurant, near Rijksweg and Kampweg, you'll find a memorial dedicated to American Sergeant Raymond F. Gargenes. The monument commemorates his death during the liberation of Gronsveld in September 1944.
