Welcome to beautiful South Limburg and in particular to the municipality of Vaals. This area is more than worth a visit. You have a beautiful view over the South Limburg hills . The geological route is a varied walking route of about 10 km through the Elsetterbos, Vijlenerbos and Geuldal in the municipality of Vaals.
Walk through one of the most special landscapes in the Netherlands and be surprised by the unique surroundings of the Geuldal . An area marked by the ravages of time where rivers and landslides have clearly left their mark. As you traverse 300 million years of geological history, you will stumble upon real treasures here and there!
Discover the highlights of the turbulent geographical history of this area during this beautiful walk. It can be quite boggy on some parts of the walk. Remember to wear good walking shoes. Along the way there is the opportunity to eat and drink at various points.
