Picturesque Vijlen is one of the highest villages in The Netherlands. The slopes are steep and the difference in height and depth is large. Altogether, you will have to conquer 580 altitude metres, on the Vijlen MTB-route. In short, this is the challenging mountain bike route that real enthusiasts want to add to their record of achievements. Don’t forget to enjoy the spectacular views from the hilltops, the breathtakingly beautiful paths between the lush trees of the Vijlen Forest (Vijlenerbos) and, of course, a delicious and well-deserved craft beer on the spacious terrace of forest café ‘‘t Hijgend Hert’, afterwards. Its parking space is an ideal starting point for this exciting mountain bike route. Rabobank Zuid-Limburg Oost contributed to the realisation of this route.
