The Amstel Gold Race is the Netherlands’ best-known annual cycling classic and the only Dutch one-day race on the UCI World Tour.
The race has been held since 1966, and 2027 will mark its 61st edition. It’s not just on Sunday that Zuid-Limburg is all about the Amstel Gold Race. There is plenty to see and do throughout the entire weekend, and this celebration of cycling has grown into a world-class event.
In 2027, Limburg will once again be dedicated to the Amstel Gold Race on 17 and 18 April. On Saturday, the Toerversie Amstel Gold Race takes centre stage, with no fewer than 15,000 recreational cyclists from around the world taking part.
At the starting location, you will receive a race number, handlebar number plate, route description, sports nutrition and drinks. Along the route, there are several refreshment stations with repair facilities, toilets, fruit, sports nutrition and drinks, as well as medical assistance.
Technical support is also available along the route and at the refreshment stations, provided by easily recognisable Shimano motorcyclists and mechanics. Motorcyclists from Stichting Motard Stein will also be present along the routes on behalf of the organisers to assist you. Instructions given by these motorcyclists must be strictly followed.
At the finish, you will receive a souvenir of the Toerversie Amstel Gold Race. Photos of every participant will also be taken along the route, and you will have the opportunity to have your photo taken with the podium hostesses. Afterwards, you can find your photos via Sportograf.

Limburg’s only cycling classic. More than 250,000 visitors travel to various locations across Limburg in April to experience the Amstel Gold Race and the Amstel Gold Race Ladies Edition live.
