Every year during the second weekend of September, thousands of beautiful monuments throughout the Netherlands are open to the public free of charge.

Various locations in the municipality of Meerssen are also open, and activities are organised around Open Monument Day. Please visit the website for the programme and opening hours.

The following locations and activities are participating in Open Monument Day:

Guided tour in Geulle aan de Maas.
Private: Huize Eyckendael, Houthemerweg 74, Meerssen.
Private: Landhuis Rustenburg, Geulstraat 49, Bunde.
Kwallef van Vliek (historic vegetable garden). 
Vliek Castle (tithe barn and park).
St. Agnes Church Chapel, Bunde.
Monumental Proosdijpark.
Former synagogue of Meerssen.
