A journey on the Miljoenenlijn is always a memorable experience, but a trip aboard the Zomeravond Expres offers truly spectacular views. And you can be part of it!
On selected Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays in July and August, the Zomeravond Expres travels through the rolling landscapes of the South Limburg Hill Country. This evening journey promises what may well be the most beautiful sunset you have ever seen. You can imagine just how romantic that is!

Steam locomotive 52 532 departs from Simpelveld at 7:15 pm on the dates listed above, heading towards Kerkrade. After a short stop there, the train continues to Schin op Geul without any intermediate stops. This station is located at the opposite end of the highest railway line in the Netherlands.
At approximately 9:15 pm, shortly after sunset, you will arrive back in Simpelveld.
You are kindly requested to be at Station Simpelveld at least 30 minutes before departure. This gives you enough time to find a comfortable seat on the plush benches in the first-class carriages.
