There are five interconnected mountain bike routes in the diversified Parkstad Limburg region. The MTB-route Brunssum (Roode Beek) is the most northern loop and takes you through the magnificent surroundings of the village of Schinveld and the town of Brunssum. On this route you will explore Schutterspark, the course of the babbling Roode Beek, and the Schinveld Forest (Schinveldse Bossen) with its high pine trees and fields, where cattle graze freely. You can start this mountain bike route at Adventure Park Het Plateau, in Brunssum, and on the way you can stop off for a relaxing break at a catering establishment, like the small and authentic inn ‘Biej de Tant’. You can follow this mountain bike route via the wooden poles with the yellow-blue MTB plates.
